OBERTAUERN

The ski resort Obertauern is located in the Lungau, Salzburgerland.

The charming town is located in the Radstädter Tauern in the southeast of the state of Salzburg at an altitude of 1,664 m. The slopes were built here as early as 1967 and the first snow-making system went into operation in 1985.

Obertauern is a modern hotel village – which is nevertheless not lacking in Austrian cosiness – and which above all enables every holidaymaker to leave his car behind and to reach the slopes on foot.

The winter sports offer with 100 km of perfectly groomed slopes is complemented by a top-class party offer – from après-ski huts to disco. Comfortable hotel facilities and generous wellness offers then ensure the necessary relaxation.

By the way: Sports greats like Franz Beckenbauer, Uwe Seeler or Erich Ribbeck also appreciate the qualities of the pretty ski resort – the so-called “snow researchers” come together year after year in Obertauern to welcome the new winter sports season.

Radstadt Tauern

The Radstädter Tauern form the westernmost part of the Niedere Tauern and border both the Hohe Tauern and the Pongau and the Schladminger Tauern. The wonderfully snow-covered landscape attracts numerous holidaymakers to the region in winter, because great slopes, winter walks, ice rinks, culinary delights and much more await here!
