Far away from mass tourism, you can enjoy the hospitality in Itter, whose cityscape is mainly shaped by the old castle.

The friendly Tyrolean community with over 1,100 inhabitants is located at the foot of the Hohe Salve on a sunny plateau in the middle of nature. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains in their full splendour, away from everyday life and hectic pace.

The Salvista gondola lift offers winter sports enthusiasts direct access to the Wilder Kaiser – Brixental ski area, and there are also practice lifts in the vicinity. Numerous cleared winter hiking trails, groomed cross-country trails, an illuminated night toboggan run as well as the cultivated gastronomy make the idyllic place the ideal destination for a relaxing winter holiday.

The very good location of Itter in Brixtenal offers ski holidaymakers the best conditions for a winter holiday. The ski area comprises approx. 284 km of perfectly groomed slopes – beginners as well as advanced and professionals get their money’s worth.

The 90 lifts ensure that skiers and snowboarders can get straight to the slopes without any major detours. After skiing, you can end the evening with après-ski. In the “Salvista-Stadl”, for example, you can dance, party and laugh until the early hours of the morning. A visit to the neighbouring towns of Söll and Hopfgarten is also worthwhile.

You can use your own car, train or plane to get to the ski resort. The train station in Hopfgarten is approx. 6 km and the next airport in Innsbruck approx. 75 km away.

Surrounded by the mountains of the Wilder Kaiser, in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is one of the largest and most modern ski areas in the world and includes the ski areas in Brixen im Thale, Kelchsau, Ellmau, Going, Hopfgarten, Itter, Söll, Westendorf and Scheffau.
