Courmayeur
The historic town of Courmayeur is located in the triangle on the Italian side and forms the northern end of the Aosta Valley at the foot of the mighty high mountain backdrop of Mont Blanc. It is one of the oldest Italian health resorts and, despite the good connection to the Mont Blanc tunnel, has lost none of its charm and originality. In addition to skiing, Courmayeur offers other opportunities to be active in sports, be it ice skating or paragliding.
Mont Blanc
The Mont Blanc massif lies between France and Italy and, at 4,809 m, is the highest point in Europe. The “white giant” is one of the most popular natural attractions in the world and a center for winter sports of all kinds.
One of the oldest and most famous winter sports regions in the Alps extends on the south side: the Courmayeur ski area. In addition to its particularly high level of snow security, the Courmayeur ski area, which is up to 3,400 m high, has varied and challenging slopes and deep snow areas to offer! Freeriders and snowboarders in particular will find their El Dorado on the deep black slopes of Mont Blanc, with the “Competizione” descent offering the greatest challenge.
With the “Mont-Blanc Unlimited” ski pass upgrade, you have around 870 kilometers of slopes at your disposal, which extend over 10 ski areas in the 3 countries of France, Italy and Switzerland. Diverse slopes are available for beginners as well as advanced skiers. Especially long valley runs, lush deep snow, fun-cross areas and much more make the hearts of freeriders beat faster.
Away from the slopes, numerous restaurants with Italian and international cuisine beckon in the Aosta Valley. Various shopping opportunities in the shopping streets invite you to stroll and those who want can party through the night in various well-known bars or clubs.
